Appointments

Fed up of the long wait time? So are we! Please help us to help you - if you are unable to attend your appointment or no longer need it, please contact the surgery immediately so that your appointment is available for your neighbour.

If every person who did not need their appointment any more cancelled it, then there would be at least 58 extra GP appointments and 54 nurse appointments available per month!

Wasted Medicine

Every year millions of pounds worth of prescription medication is wasted across West Cheshire alone. Over the entire country, this is a huge amount of money.

If you are taking medication, please consider the following:

  • Only order what you need
  • Check what's in your prescription bag before you leave the pharmacy
  • Finish your course of medication, even if you start to feel better
  • Don't stockpile medication
  • Review your medicines regularly with your pharmacist and/or GP

We currently have Medical Students working with us.

Medical students may be required to sit in during consultations. If you do not feel comfortable with this, please inform a member of staff when you book your appointment or as soon as possible on arrival.

For more information on the other type of students we have, please Click Here
Read our Meeting Medical Students leaflet for more information

Are your contact details correct?

Please inform us of any changes to your contact details as soon as possible. If we do not hold your correct contact information (address, telephone number and email address) we will not be able to contact you regarding results, referrals and review appointments. We can even send you text reminders for your existing appointments if we have your mobile number.

Referral for Exercise

What is this service?

If you have a health issue that makes exercising difficult, then you may be eligible to join the free NHS Exercise Programme by referral from your GP or hospital consultant.

The programme is aimed at people aged 18 years and over, who may be affected by health problems which could be improved by leading a healthier lifestyle through exercise.

The initial programme lasts 12 weeks with a wide range of supported activities designed to help you exercise safely.

The programme itself begins with a one-to-one chat with one of Cheshire Change Hub's friendly advisors. They’ll talk through any health issues that you may have. A 12-week programme will then be personally designed  for you around the condition(s) you have.

Are you eligible?

You may be eligible for free support if all of the following apply:

  • If you are a resident or registered with a GP within Cheshire West & Cheshire
  • If you are aged 18 years and over
  • If you have one or more of the following conditions
    ◦ BMI of 30 or more AND currently in receipt of benefits
    ◦
    Diabetes Types 1 or 2
    ◦ Established osteoporosis
    ◦ Hypertension
    ◦ Mental health problems, such as depression

How do I access this?

If you fall into the eligibility criteria above, then your GP or Nurse can refer you to the Cheshire Change Hub.

Cheshire Change Hub is provided by Brio Leisure (Northgate Arena). For more information please visit www.cheshirechangehub.org or phone 0300 777 0033.
